With its historic buildings and miles of open space, the 20th Middlesex District has the look and feel of a traditional New England community, while local economic growth keeps the district moving toward the future. The district includes North Reading, and parts of Reading, Lynnfield and Middleton.

North Reading

North Reading, Brad Jones' hometown, is located 15 miles north of Boston. The suburban community lies within the watershed of the Ipswich River, and is bordered by Wilmington on the west, Andover and North Andover on the north, Middleton and Lynnfield on the east, and Reading on the south. North Reading was established as an independent town in 1853. The entire town lies within the 20th Middlesex District, the legislative region that Jones represents.

Reading
Reading is located 12 miles north of Boston, between Interstates 93 and 95. The community is bordered by North Reading on the north, Lynnfield and Wakefield on the east, Stoneham on the south, Woburn on the southwest and west, and Wilmington on the west. Reading was settled in 1639 and incorporated as a town in 1644. Rep. Jones represents the portions of Reading that lie within the 20th Middlesex District, including Precincts 1, 4, 6, 7 and 8.

Lynnfield

Lynnfield is located 15 miles north of Boston, and is bordered by North Reading on the north, Reading on the west, Middleton, Peabody and Lynn on the east, and Saugus and Wakefield on the south. Rep. Jones represents the portions of Lynnfield that lie within the 20th Middlesex District, including Precincts 1, 3 and 4.

Middleton

Middleton is located 19 miles north of Boston, and is bordered by Topsfield and Danvers on the east, Peabody on the south, Lynnfield on the southwest, North Reading on the west, North Andover on the west and northwest, and Boxford on the north and northeast. Middleton's first Town Meeting was held in 1728. Rep. Jones represents Precinct 1 in Middleton, which lies within the 20th Middlesex District.
