BOSTON- State Representative Bradley H. Jones, Jr. maintained his perfect voting record last week during the run up to the end of the 2007-2008 legislative session. He cast his 4500th roll call vote on July 30th.
Representative Jones has never missed a roll call vote since his election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 1994. By the session’s end early on the morning of August 1 Jones had made all 607 roll call votes for a total of 4603 consecutive votes cast.
“I take representing my constituents very seriously. I believe an elected official has no more important job than voting and ensuring their constituents are represented on each and every vote,” said Representative Jones.
Representative Jones has served under five governors and three House speakers. Today, he continues to serve as the highest ranking Republican in House leadership, a position he’s held since 2002.
