JONES ANNOUNCES GRANT FOR NORTH READING

BOSTON—House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. today announced the town of North Reading will receive financial support in the form of a grant from the Department of Environmental Protection.
The grant has been awarded for the North Reading Stormwater Infiltration Project. The goal of this project is to implement measures that address the prevention and control of pollution as well as targeting the major sources of pollution within the watershed
“I am pleased the DEP has awarded this grant to the town of North Reading,” said Representative Jones. “Protecting our water supply is essential in ensuring current residents and future generations have access to clean water.”
This grant program is authorized under the Federal Clean Water Act for projects that address the prevention, control and abatement of nonpoint source pollution.
